About Me
Hi, I’m Diana and I’m the marketing ghoul behind Dreadfully Creative.
I’m a marketing professional with over 15 years of experience in the events, nonprofit, energy efficiency, cosmetic, and public relations spaces. (Phew. Ok, that’s a lot.) I’ve done everything from content creation to sales enablement to event management. Other career highlights include working for a witchy night market, creating nail polish collections for prestige brands, organizing a blimp race, and being recognized as a 2024 Marketing Maverick by NJ Ad Club.
But that’s dreadfully boring and mundane.
In reality, I’m a marketing witch who was dying (creatively, anyway) to transmute her years of corporate communications experience into a fulfilling and magical career of working with and helping alternative small businesses and esoteric solopreneurs.
But all work and no play makes Diana a dull girl.
When I’m not working, I’m busy being a goth mom, the black cat of the friend group, and living every day like it’s Halloween. You can find me decorating my skeletons for the next holiday, helping loved ones plan parties, and trying to befriend the crows.
My Spirit Board
-
Because my priorities in life have changed. I’m a mom to a toddler ghoul. I’m a devoted daughter to a mother who is aging. I’m a weird wife, feral auntie, and the black cat of the friend group.
I’m tired of being locked into a traditional, corporate world when I am very nontraditional. It become exhausting pretending to be someone who I’m not.
I no longer have the desire to just work for money. I want to work with purpose. Sacrificing myself, love, beauty, art, community, and ultimately my sanity for capitalism is just not it, babe.
-
Yes! My intention is to have a financially, spiritually, and emotionally abundant freelance business dedicated to helping eccentric creatives, witches, and alternative brands with their marketing efforts.
I want to co-create marketing magic and help alternative or “weird” brands weave their story across the realms in a way that is easy, holistic, and ultimately sustainable. Where you can work with someone who adores the strange and unusual vision you’re trying to create, free of judgment or khakis.Dreadfully Creative is a safe and inclusive space where those who are burned out from marketing themselves can come for resources, guidance, and assistance. Where they can focus more on what doing what they love to do by allowing me to do the work that I love to do.
Together, we can be unserious about life but dead serious about marketing, and be dreadfully creative in the process.
-
I don’t. I was a one-woman marketing department for a long time, where I did it all by myself. Content marketing, social media, events, advertising, digital marketing, print.
I’m a generalist and a killer strategist, because there’s only so much one person can do. Much like a small business.
-
I would describe myself as being kitschy and witchy, with a side of macabre. Morbidity with levity! Lighthearted and easy-going, despite the goth exterior. Sarcastic at times, but always with a wink.
Flirty, ghouly, and silly.
I embrace the light and the dark, life and death, and the in-between. I celebrate love, creativity, beauty, and storytelling, but most of all, co-creating.
I’m all about a healthy dose of aesthetic, chaotic kitsch, and being authentic. And my brand of authenticity is often absurdity.
Because life can be absurd and isn’t perfect, and neither is my craft nor when I craft.
I’m all about the good, the bad, and the dreadful.
-
Yes! I’m open to fractional marketing opportunities, user-generated content, once-in-a-while projects, you name it.
Need marketing magic?
